I've been making icons for so many years now, I thought that maybe I could share some stuff about how I make them. So, I'm going to write down a tutorial from time to time. Since this is supposed to be learning effect for you, I'm not going to be completely exact with numbers and stuff all the time but let you know what things I did (out of what reason) with which result.
